Brazilian Community in Madison

This project was created in Journalism 202: Mass Communication Practices to document and celebrate the stories of Brazilians living in Madison. I designed both a magazine layout and a website, focusing on the user experience to make the content easy to navigate and visually engaging. The color palette was inspired by the Brazilian flag, incorporating tones of green, yellow, and blue to convey cultural pride. My work unified editorial and digital formats through consistent typography, photography, and layout choices that balanced aesthetics and functionality. This project strengthened my ability to design across platforms, applying principles of visual hierarchy, usability, and cohesion to create an engaging experience.
